The course is an initiative of Educação Sem Fronteiras, in partnership with the Yduqs Institute. It offers free online Portuguese language classes as a language of reception, aimed at immigrants and refugees, with the goal of promoting their social, cultural, and professional integration in Brazil.
Yes, the course is completely free and provides all the necessary resources for immigrants and refugees to learn Portuguese and better integrate into Brazilian society.
Yes, upon completing the course and passing the in-person exam, you will receive a certificate of proficiency in Portuguese as a language of reception. This certificate, issued in partnership with the Yduqs Institute, is accredited by the MEC (Ministry of Education) and can be used as proof of language proficiency in various situations. Additionally, it can be used in the Brazilian naturalization process.
Registrations are done online, through the form available on the Educação Sem Fronteiras website. After registering, you will receive an email with instructions about the placement test and the next steps.
The placement test is conducted online after registration and serves to identify the most appropriate level of Portuguese for the student: basic, intermediate, or advanced.
The course has a total duration of 12 weeks, combining recorded (asynchronous) classes, which can be accessed at any time, and live (synchronous) meetings held via Google Meet.
Yes, at the end of the course, an in-person exam will be held to certify the students. This exam will be administered in the main capitals of Brazil, in the Yduqs rooms.
The in-person exam will be held in the Brazilian capitals where the Yduqs Institute has infrastructure. The exact locations and dates will be announced on the "In-Person Exam" page of the website.
We offer three proficiency levels: basic, intermediate, and advanced. The placement test conducted at the beginning of the course will determine the most appropriate level for each student.
You will need a device with internet access, such as a computer, tablet, or smartphone. All classes and materials will be available on the ESF Online Platform.
The didactic materials, such as videos, texts, and exercises, are made available on the ESF Online Platform, where students can access them at any time.
